Die Londoner Lehrerin Rosa Aers beschreibt in einem Artikel, wie sie ihre Klasse, in der nur über die Premier League geredet wurde, zu einem Match ihres siebtklassigen Vereins mitnahm und diese vom Stadionerlebnis begeisterte. “Despite most of the children living relativeley close to the ground, none had been to a non-League match and most hadn't been to a Premier League game due to the prohibitive cost. So, we organised a trip: 40 primary school children to the glamour fixture that is Enfield Town v Witham Town.” Sorgen, wie sich die Kinder verhalten würden, waren gleich nach der Ankunft wie weggeblasen: “It was the chips and the Enfield Ultras' rhythmic drumming that naturally appealed to the ten-year-old's primal urges. Immediately intoxicated by the partisan chanting, they got fully behind the home team.”

Daneben gibt es hier auch noch etwas über die Unsitte zu lesen, englische Fußballstatistiken aufgrund des Marketingschmähs der Premier League erst mit 1992 beginnen zu lassen. Huw Richards wettert dagegen: “The ridiculousness of the artificial line was brought home by the death of Gary Speed. We were told endlessly of his achievement − and the number involved − in having at one time played more Premier League Matches, 535, than any other player. Yet Speed in fact played 614 top division matches, and the 79 left out of many accounts were among the most important, since they included his 41-game contribution to Leeds' Championship-winning season of 1991-92.”

Zu den Hintergründen der Tribünenbrands mit 56 Toten im Stadion von Bradford 1985 erschien ein Buch von Martin Fletcher, das hier von David Stubs rezensiert wird.
