Die White Hart Lane von Tottenham Hotspur soll durch ein nebenan zu errichtendes Neubaustadion ersetzt werden. Doch Marton Cloake ist unzufrieden damit, wie der Verein seine Fans über die Schritte dorthin im Dunkeln lässt: “The club say expanding the current stadium is not feasible. But they don't explain why. They say the original plan to build the stadium while the team played on the existing site is not feasible. But they don't explain why. They say moves to Wembley or the Olympic stadium are not feasible. But they don't explain why. [...] Now a move to Milton Keynes is being spun as the only alternative, again with no real explanation.” So sollte das nicht laufen.
Neben dem allgemeinen FA Cup und dem League Cup der Profivereine gibt es in England an größeren Cupbewerben auch die FA Trophy der semiprofessionellen Vereine und die FA Vase der Amateurvereine. Peter Bateman bricht im Heft eine Lanze für letzteren Cup: “Just as the FA Cup is devalued by the bigger club's lack of enthusiasm, so it is with the Trophy where leading Conference teams are often under-strength. It is the Vase that retains the traditional spirit.” Alle Cup-Bewerbe führen zu einem Finale in Wembley. Die Finalspiele der FA Vase haben normalerweise zwischen 10.000 und 15.000 Zuschauerinnen und Zuschauer. Manche sind wie das Finale von 2014 viel schlechter besucht (5.134). Bateman erinnert aber auch an den Rekordbesuch von 36.000 Leuten beim Finale von 2007, dem ersten Vase-Finale im neuen Wembley-Stadion.
